Located on the edge of town in a quiet, pastoral setting,
Casa Gallina's three adobe guest houses offer an oasis of home for visitors exploring the Taos area.
Spacious, charming and just a five minute drive to
historic Taos Plaza, each guest house is decorated and appointed with furniture, art, antiques, and textiles from New Mexico, Old Mexico and the world over.
Look out the windows and there's Taos Mountain. Step outside and take in one of the clearest night skies you'll ever see. Stay in for the
night and cozy up to the wood burning kiva fireplace or wood burning stove. Put your favorite music on the stereo and cook a delicious dinner in
your fully equipped kitchen.
Civilization is just a click away. Each guest house offers a desktop computer with high speed DSL connection, satellite TV, and a CD/DVD player.
The grounds and gardens are landscaped and grassy with areas to sit and relax. In summer, enjoy the organic vegetable garden, strawberry and raspberry patches,
orchard, and colorful beds of perennial and wild flowers. Across a foot bridge over the flowing water of the Acequia Madre is Casa Gallo, where I
live and am available to answer questions and tend to needs that you may have during your stay.
If you'd like to indulge for a morning or two, at an
additional charge, I'll be happy to serve you a hearty breakfast in my kitchen (the eggs are organic and farm fresh from my hens on the property!).
My massage studio is across the Acequia as well. Treat yourself to a deep tissue or hot stone massage while here, but please reserve early as my
massage schedule fills up a few weeks in advance.
Hiking, biking, rafting, skiing, snowboarding, shopping, galleries, museums and gorgeous drives are all just minutes away.
Welcome to Casa Gallina!
• Richard Spera, your host.
